Case Study

A client project: a privacy-first toolkit for developers that we designed and built for GenKit Lab. 60 browser-based utilities spanning AI, JSON, SQL, APIs, security and DevOps, all running entirely client-side so nothing a developer pastes in ever leaves their browser.

GenKit Lab — project visual

The GenKit Lab home page: a dark interface with the headline 'Free online developer tools that run in your browser' above a tool search bar.
Overview

Our client GenKit Lab set out to be the tool developers reach for instead of pasting a JWT or a database URL into a random website. Pixxoft designed and built the product: a genuinely useful set of utilities, and an interface that makes the case, visibly, that none of it leaves the browser.

The Challenge

The categories GenKit Lab covers — JWT decoding, SQL formatting, hashing, environment files — are exactly the kind of input developers are wary of pasting into a stranger's server. Most competing tools solve this with a privacy policy nobody reads. GenKit Lab needed an interface that made 'nothing leaves your browser' obvious at a glance, not just true in the fine print, across sixty tools without turning the product into an unnavigable directory.

The Approach

  1. 01

    Lead with the trust story

The client-side guarantee became the first thing a visitor sees, not a footnote — the interface repeats it at the point of use, on every tool, not just the homepage.

  2. 02

Organise sixty tools without a maze

Tools are grouped into ten functional categories — AI, JSON, SQL, API, security, DevOps and more — with fast search and cross-category browsing, so the catalogue scales without becoming a wall of links.

  3. 03

    Keep every computation local

Each tool runs its formatting, validation and conversion logic entirely in the browser, with no upload step and no account gate standing between a developer and the answer they came for.

  4. 04

Strip out everything that isn't the tool

No ads, no trackers, no cookie banner — the product commits to the same privacy stance in its own operation that it promises for the data developers paste into it.

The Outcome

The client now offers developers a free, immediate alternative to upload-and-wait tools, with the full sixty-tool catalogue live and a team tier in development on their side.
