We do not publish fixed prices, because no two projects are the same. Here is what actually drives the price, how we quote, and what to prepare so your quote is accurate.
The factors differ by kind of project. These are the ones that move the number most.
Websites
- Number of distinct page layouts, more than the number of pages
- Custom design versus a lightly adapted template
- Languages: English only, or Sinhala and Tamil as well
- Content: writing, editing and migrating what already exists
- Search, performance and analytics requirements
- Whether your team needs a content management system to edit it
E-commerce stores
- Number of products and how they are organised
- Payment gateway and the currencies you sell in
- Delivery, shipping and returns rules
- Customer accounts, order management and stock tracking
- Integrations with accounting, courier or marketing tools
- Custom features, such as a visualizer or quotation tool
Mobile apps
- iOS, Android or both, and native versus cross-platform
- Number and complexity of screens and user roles
- Offline use, push notifications and device features
- Back-end, accounts and integrations behind the app
- App Store and Play Store release
- Ongoing maintenance as operating systems change
Custom software
- How many workflows and user roles the system covers
- Integrations with tools you already use
- Database and data-migration complexity
- Reporting and dashboard requirements
- Security, access control and audit needs
- Deployment, hosting, support and maintenance
Ready-made systems (gym, salon, restaurant)
- Number of locations, staff and users
- Configuration to your services, plans or menu
- Importing existing members, clients or stock
- Hosting on our infrastructure or in your own cloud account
- Training and support after launch
- Any extension beyond the standard modules

A first conversation
We ask what you are trying to achieve, how things work today and what a successful outcome looks like. You do not need a finished brief.
- 02
A written scope
We turn that into a scope you can read and challenge: what is included, what is not, and what we have assumed.
- 03
A quote that fits the work
A well-defined scope is quoted as a fixed price. A longer build whose requirements will evolve runs as a monthly engagement. Ready-made systems are licensed as a monthly subscription with a one-off setup fee.

The breakdown before you commit
You see how the quote is made up before agreeing to anything, and once the work is done the source code and data are yours.
None of this has to be perfect. The more concrete you are, the more useful our first reply will be.
- What the project needs to achieve, in a sentence or two
- Who will use it, and roughly how many people
- Examples of sites, apps or systems you like, and why
- What exists already: content, logos, data, an old system
- Tools it needs to work with, such as accounting or payment services
- Any deadline you are working to
Why don't you publish fixed prices?
Two projects that sound alike, such as two online shops, can differ enormously once products, payments, integrations and design are counted. A published number would either mislead or be so wide it said nothing, so we quote each project once we understand it.
Is the price fixed or monthly?
It depends on the work. Defined scopes are quoted as a fixed price, so you know the number up front. Longer or evolving builds run as a monthly engagement, which keeps the roadmap flexible. Ready-made systems are licensed monthly with a one-off setup fee.
Can I get a rough idea before a full quote?
Tell us your goals, roughly what you need and your timeline, and we will tell you honestly whether we are likely to be a good fit and what would most affect the cost, before you invest time in a detailed scope.
Is a ready-made system cheaper than custom software?
Not automatically. A ready-made system can be quicker to start with when a product fits your business closely. Custom software earns its cost when your process is unusual. Which is more economical depends on how well a product fits, and we will say so if a ready-made option is the better choice.
What costs continue after launch?
Typically hosting and ongoing maintenance or support, which we discuss and scope alongside the build rather than leaving as a surprise. You can choose an ongoing plan with us or hand everything to your own team.
Tell us what you're trying to solve. We'll figure out the technology.
