Solutions · Custom Software

Pixxoft is a Sri Lankan software company that designs and builds custom software for businesses at home and abroad — the systems, dashboards and integrations that replace spreadsheets, manual hand-offs and tools that no longer fit.

The Problem

Most companies begin on spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools, and that is the right call. The trouble starts when the workaround becomes the process: orders live in one file, stock in another, and a person re-types data between them every morning. Errors creep in, reports take a day to assemble, and nobody can change how the work is done without breaking something.

Custom software fixes that at the root. Instead of bending your approvals, exceptions and reporting to fit a template, we build the system around them, so staff do the job once, in one place, with the right people seeing the right information.

It is not always the right answer. If a ready-made product already fits, we will say so. Our own restaurant, salon and gym systems exist for exactly that reason, and the discovery conversation is the same whichever way it lands.

What's Included

Systems built around how your business actually runs.

Ideal for: Teams outgrowing spreadsheets, or running on software that no longer fits.

How We Work

  1. 01

    Discover the real workflow

We sit with the people who do the work, not just the people who sign the budget, and map how things actually happen: where data enters, who approves what, and where it goes wrong. The output is a written scope you can challenge before any build begins.

  2. 02

    Design before we build

Screens and flows are prototyped and walked through with your team first. It is far cheaper to change a prototype than finished code, and it surfaces the edge cases that only the people on the floor know about.

  3. 03

    Build in working increments

You see working software at regular points rather than one reveal at the end. Each increment is usable on its own, so feedback shapes the next one and the project never goes quiet for months.

  4. 04

    Launch, hand over and support

We handle deployment, data migration and training, then stay available for fixes and improvements. Code, infrastructure and data are yours, in your own repositories and accounts.

Where It Fits

  • Replacing spreadsheet-driven operations

Orders, bookings, stock or job tracking that currently lives across files, rebuilt as one system with roles, history and reporting.

  • Internal dashboards and reporting

Live views of sales, stock, staff or production, drawn from your existing data so management stops waiting for month-end numbers.

  • Integrating the tools you already use

APIs and connectors between your accounting software, payment provider, website and internal systems, so data moves without being re-typed.

  • Customer-facing tools with real logic

Calculators, configurators and quotation tools. For Eshyra Clothing we built a logo visualizer that feeds a downloadable quotation, so a buyer reaches a priced quote without a week of messages.

Technology we use for this

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
Pricing

We do not publish fixed prices, because no two businesses need exactly the same thing. You receive a written quote after we understand what you need, with the full breakdown before you commit to anything.

What affects the price

  • How many workflows and user roles the system covers
  • Integrations with tools you already use
  • Database and data-migration complexity
  • Reporting and dashboard requirements
  • Security, access control and audit needs
  • Deployment, hosting, support and maintenance
Questions

  • How do I know if I need custom software rather than an off-the-shelf tool?

If a ready-made product fits most of what you do, use it. Custom software earns its cost when your process is a genuine competitive advantage, when you are stitching several tools together with manual work, or when the licence cost and workarounds of a generic product add up to more than building the right thing once.

  • What happens before any code is written?

Discovery: we map your current workflow with the people who run it, agree what the first version must do, and write it down as a scope you can review. You get a stage-by-stage plan before anything is committed.

  • Can the new system connect to software we already use?

Usually, yes. We build integrations through the other tool's API where one exists, and through exports or scheduled imports where it does not. We check what each system actually offers during discovery so there are no surprises mid-build.

  • Will it cope as the business grows?

We design for the business you are becoming: clear data models, role-based access and a structure that new features can be added to without a rewrite. We also say plainly where a first version is deliberately simple and what it would take to extend it.

  • Can you take over or extend software someone else built?

Yes. We start with a review of the code, hosting and documentation, tell you honestly what is sound and what is a risk, and then extend it or plan a staged replacement, whichever protects your investment better.
